Driving from the Pittsburgh International Airport:

• 1. Follow 279/376 North toward Pittsburgh through the Fort Pitt Tunnel and onto the Fort Pitt Bridge.
• 2. Once on the bridge, stay in the far right lanes and follow signs for 376 East/Monroeville.
• 3. Take 376 East to Exit 5, Forbes Avenue/Oakland.
• 4. Stay in the right-hand lanes, following Forbes Avenue 1.3 miles through the Oakland business district to campus.
• 5. At the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Beeler Street, turn right into the parking garage on campus.

On-Campus Parking Options and General Information:

The East Campus Garage houses several reserved, department-specific visitors' parking spaces as well as general metered spaces.
Meter fees apply between 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on weekdays.
Meter fees are not required on weekends except in the University Center lot which is enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All university meters require a quarter for each 15-minute interval.
All university meters are four hours meters except those at Hamburg Hall and the University Center, which are two hour meters.

Metered visitor parking is available along Tech Street and Frew Street (near the library). These meters are under the authority of the City of Pittsburgh and are not affected by Carnegie Mellon visitor passes, temporary parking passes or people with disabilities passes.

Visitors may purchase a day-long visitor's parking permit from the Parking Services Office located in the East Campus Garage. Permits cost $5.50 per day and are available on a limited basis.

If you are attending a special event on campus, be sure to contact the department sponsoring the event. Special parking arrangements may have been made for you.
